i just hate the “-ization” words, PERIOD. yes, i suppose they can be useful to talk about process. but seriously, when we get to the point of “balkanization” and “BARRIO-ization” (yes, the marginalizing of spanish-speaking peoples in working-class residential areas), my eyes just start crossing. and if this keeps up, some day they’re going to stay that way.
