a mix pour vous.
August 16, 2007Here are some songs that I love times a million for your rainy(ish) day enjoyment.
Belle and Sebastian – “Judy and the Dream of Horses“
This song reminds me of Cella! And it is her birthday. We all know that Cella never felt so good except when she was sleeping.
Neko Case – “Maybe Sparrow“
I am seeing Neko Case tonight for the second time (solo) and seeing her again tomorrow when she opens up for Rufus. I am in love with her, her red hair and her gigantic rack.
Okkervil River – “Kansas City“
It’s pretty much a guarantee that if a song repeats the words “pretty baby,” I am going to like it.
Elliott Smith – “Waltz #2 (XO)“
For those of you who still like to believe that my tattoo reads “CHI OMEGA” instead of “XO,” BITE ME.
Rilo Kiley – “More Adventurous“
I love this song and the view from below Jenny Lewis’ skirt.
Rufus Wainwright – “The Art Teacher“
The only art teacher I’ve ever loved enough to have a crush on was balding, fake-English and probably gay. Fitting, eh?
Damien Jurado – “Ohio“
One of my favorite concert moments was Black Cat backstage, Damien Jurado, cigarette in one hand and beer in the other. He closed with this and it the best of his tunes.
Jens Lekman – “Black Cab“
It’s twinkly and pretty and Jens is so dreamboaty.
American Music Club – “Ladies and Gentlemen“
I want a boyfriend who loves Mark Eitzel as much as I do. Self-loathing is SO HOT RIGHT NOW.
The Magnetic Fields – “100000 Fireflies“
Andrew Bird – “Heretics“
One of the best shows this year by far. Plus, he crazy!
The Divine Comedy – “Tonight We Fly“
Neil Hannon signed my ticket stub in 2004. LOVE HILM.
