deep in the ocean, there lies a wave for you

I can’t even begin to talk about how excited I am for this movie to come out. Like everyone else, I really love Donnie Darko; I liked having to decipher it, I loved the soundtrack and I especially got off on the humor. Finally, writer / director Richard Kelly is putting out his second feature film, Southland Tales.

The tagline is “Have a Nice Apocalypse,” which means he’s not veering away from the whole end-of-the-world theme. And yes, the Rock is in it, and in this film he’s cookin’ up the fact that he GOES BY HIS REAL NAME – Dwayne Johnson (nice name, not).

From Cinematical: The film “takes place in a 2008 where Los Angeles is on the verge of political and environmental disaster. Boxer (Johnson), an action star with amnesia, soon finds his life intertwine with the dysfunctional worlds of an adult film star (Gellar) and a cop (Scott) mixed up in a conspiracy. But from what I gather (and knowing Kelly’s work), there’s a whole lot more going on as well. I mean, just look at that poster — it definitely gives us a peek inside the complexity of the film. Southland Tales will finally make its new and improved debut in theaters on November 9.”

In addition to the fact that I’m so intrigued and excited to see this, guess who is in it. Just guess. Take one guess. Let’s have a look at the one-sheet, shall we?

LOOK AT THE TOP LEFT CORNER. YES, THAT’S RIGHT. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE MEETS RICHARD KELLY. I’m going to walk out of this film and feel so satisfied with the world.
